Loan Administrative Assistant

Position Summary
The Loan Administrative Assistant I maintains accurate commercial loan files, provides timely and courteous customer service to borrowers, completes assigned administrative tasks. Performs all tasks in compliance with established Bank policies and procedures, with federal and state laws and with all fair lending regulations

Job Responsibilities

  • Efficient and accurate input of commercial loan information to system.
  • Timely and efficient preparation and collection of documents for UCC/Insurance requirements, reports and communications to ensure Bank coverage and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensures complete loan documentation through effective and timely tracking of documents, notifies loan officers or customers of missing or incomplete information and documentation.
  • Provides efficient and timely administrative support. May include: coordinating loan disbursements and preparation of mortgage and UCC discharges, processing general ledger transactions, preparation of correspondence and reports, monitoring collection of fees and payoffs.
  • Provides courteous and accurate customer service for assigned commercial borrowers. Includes: answering questions and resolving service problems, processing transactions, and obtaining necessary file documents.
  • Responds to all telephone inquiries promptly and courteously. May relay messages, provide information, and assist in solving problems. Ensures that all customer complaints and problems are handled in an efficient and timely manner. Follows up to ensure that customers are satisfied with resolution and service.
  • Maintains updated knowledge regarding loan and equity products, compliance regulations and lending policies.
  • Performs related administrative duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One to two years of banking/office experience
  • High level of accuracy and detail orientation
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workflow
  • Effective communication and interaction skills
