We have received reports of fraudsters contacting customers, posing as someone from the Bank in an effort to collect personal and account information.
Below is an example of a fraudulent text message being distributed:
Walpole Co-operative Bank will never contact you via an unsolicited phone call or text to confirm your identity, request your credentials, send you a link, or request access to your device or security fob.
For customers who have recently called the Bank and left a message regarding our recent Online Banking upgrade: We are working hard to return your call and assist with any issues you may be facing. Please note, these are the only phone calls the Bank is making to customers at this time.
If you receive a random call or text stating to be Walpole Co-operative Bank, do not provide any information or click any links. Hang up the phone/ignore the text and notify us immediately.
