Walpole Co-operative Bank Donates $42,000 to Help Combat Food Insecurity

Walpole Co-operative Bank recently donated a total of $42,000 to local food pantries within Norfolk County. Donations that began during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Bank now annually contributes to local food pantries in an effort to support food relief within the communities it serves.

Grants were awarded to food pantries in Bellingham, Canton, Dedham, Foxborough, Franklin, Mansfield, Medfield, Medway, Millis, Needham, Norfolk, Norwood, Plainville, Sharon, Stoughton, Walpole, Wellesley, Westwood, and Wrentham.

“We hope that these donations allow the pantries to buy the items they know their local individuals and families need most — whether it be food items or diapers. These organizations play a crucial role within our communities, and we are proud to help them fight against food insecurity,” said Paul Chaggaris, President and CEO of Walpole Co-operative Bank.
