Certificates of Deposit
Our certificates generally offer “the best interest rate around”. Our wide selection of terms gives a great flexibility for deciding on your investment.
Earnings are at current interest rates as established by the current market. Interest can be withdrawn or re-invested. Early withdrawal of principal incurs a penalty.
Our 3-Month and 6-Month certificates require a minimum deposit of $2500.00
Our 1-4 Year certificates require a minimum deposit of $1000.00
Retirement Accounts
Interest on Traditional IRA is tax-deferred or sheltered until distributions. Traditional IRA contributions may be tax-deductible, dependent on your filing status, adjusted gross income or whether you participate in a company-sponsored retirement plan. Contributions and earnings on Roth IRA’s are tax-free on distribution, (certain requirements must be met).
Fixed IRAs
Qualified Plans and SEPs
Allows self-employed individuals or owners of small businesses to set up retirement plans.
Direct Rollovers may be made from an employer Eligible Retirement Plan to a Traditional IRA

At Walpole Co-operative Bank, every deposit is insured in full. Each depositor is insured to at least $250,000.00 by The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). All deposits over and above this amount are covered by the Share Insurance Fund (SIF), established by the legislature in 1934 to protect deposits in Massachusetts-chartered co-operative banks. There are no maximum account limitations or amount limitations.
