Two New Directors at Walpole Co-operative Bank

News Two New DirectorsThomas A. Grimes of East Walpole and Robert P. Bennett of Boston have joined the board of directors of Walpole Co-operative Bank, according to an announcement by Joseph V. Scholl, president and CEO.

Thomas Grimes, CFP
Grimes is an investment advisor and Certified Financial Planner with Grimes & Company, Inc. in Westboro, where he has been associated since 1990. He ranked among Reuters Top Advisers in 2008 and is listed in Bloomberg’s Top Wealth Managers. Earlier in his career he was in medical and health product sales and management with Ethicon, Inc., a division of Johnson & Johnson, and with Proctor & Gamble, Inc.

Grimes holds an MBA degree from Babson College and an undergraduate degree in management and finance from the University of Massachusetts/Amherst. He graduated from Bishop Feehan High School in Attleboro, and is a member of the Bishop Feehan Athletic Hall of Fame and the Attleboro Area High School Football Hall of Fame.

He and his wife, Judith A. Hondo-Grimes, M.D., are the parents of three daughters. Grimes is a director of Walpole Youth Soccer and a member of the Walpole Country Club.

Robert “Bob” Bennett
Bennett is the founder and CEO of Invoice Cloud, Inc. in Westwood. He has served as president of a number of companies, including Sage Payment Solutions, Verus Financial Management, and Network 1 Financial, and MIC, Inc. He was also the founder and CEO of MicroFridge, Inc., and held sales and management positions with Star Technologies, CSP, Inc., Western Electric, and Factory Mutual Engineering.

He earned a master’s in engineering management at Northeastern University and a bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics from the University of Maine. He also graduated from the Owner President Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Bennett has been guest speaker and the subject of three Harvard Business School case studies. His outside interests include family, golf, boating, sailing and squash. He is a member of the Harvard Club of Boston. He and his wife, Martha, are the parents of three children.
